2017 Round Up + Highlights + 2018 Bring It On! | Finn W

Annyeong, Everyone!

It's been a VERY while. Even when I'm having my semester break right now, I'm occupied with lingering school work to do. I'm bad at managing my time to publish a blog post, hence why I've been posting product reviews on my Instagram.

This post is unlike any of my existing posts, I just wanted to share with you guys my 2017 Round Up and Highlights.

Also, who else feels emotional at almost the end of the year? I feel like it's the time of reflection and looking back at things you've achieved, learned, lost and gained, like sinking in everything that happened and cherishing events that happened in the year, I. Am. Emotional.

I'm going to tell my story in a timeline form. Let's go!❤

January 2017

Finished my college education of 2 years in Computer & Systems Development! This was taken right after our very last exam together. After it finished, I felt like, "okay, what to do in my life now??", "is this really going to be my last time in college?". Kinda sad bidding farewell to my friends and lecturers because it was over...

February 2017

and then unexpectedly and surprisingly a few weeks later, I decided to continue my studies in the same institution HAHAHA after stressing out on contemplating where to continue my studies...locally or overseas. It was unplanned and last minute, I laughed when I went back because I thought I would never see it again but heyyy people I've returned! We've met each other again! To those who don't know, I'm pursuing my Degree in Computer Science (and now left with 1 remaining year to complete omg).

April 2017

Won @theduckgroup 's giveaway on IG on getting an invitation to the PRIVATE launching of the Royal Duck at Empire!!!! Omg I remembered I was literally shaking when I received a DM from them. So grateful to be able to witness the launching and had a lush lunch with Princess of Brunei, Vivy Yusof and her awesome squad and I was also seated one table with Vivy's mom! She was just sitting right in front of me (round table), she's a humble and warm person! I also get to take picture with Vivy and my gosh she's so stunning in real life..I'm starstruck! and I'm taller than her haha

One thing I regret during the event was literally following the dress code which is to WEAR FORMAL. I initially wanted to wear a dress! My self-esteem lowered when I see everybody else around me wearing snatching #ootd outfits. But whatever, I had a great day and it was memorable!❤ though I didn't get the Royal Duck cos I'm poor
and I skipped class for the first time to attend the event

May 2017



Chopped off my long mane *CRYING EMOJIS* because my hair was just sad and unhealthy. I was also ashamed that my hair fell like everywhere huhu I'm 22 and have hair loss. After the hair cut, my hair never felt any healthier! I just had to do it for its health......and now it seems that I'll be chopping off some soon to discard the colored ends.

August 2017 ***MAIN HIGHLIGHT***



Ahhh this is the MAIN HIGHLIGHT OF MY 2017! I officially graduated college studies! Not just that, I graduated & awarded with Distinctionsssss and made my parents proud! I'm aiming to make my mom & dad still proud of me with my current Degree studies, I have ONE year left to complete. Congratulations to everyone who graduated this year!❤

October 2017





FINN TURNS 22!🎈So my friends surprised me in school and swear I'm always BLUNT and never expected anything to happen on my birthday. We also had a class party on the day, it was an awesome celebration. Thank you everyone for making my 22nd birthday memorable.❤❤❤❤

Also, something else happened in this month.....hint: Finn is now single.
My 3-years commitment with someone ended. Yep 'commitment' because I feel like it's my first time being so serious towards someone whom I thought was 'the one'. Afterall, it lasted for 3 years, mahn. Anyway I've been doing fine after being depressed for 2 weeks when it first happened. All fine (emotionally & psychologically), so don't worry about me! By the way, I didn't get cheated on or anything bad (the relationship was healthy), just that the universe decided that we're not meant to be. and it's not my loss.

So if you also experienced break ups and you thought you worked hard to keep the relationship alive, someone will come along to love you and you deserve to be loved like you don't even work for it.
hahahaha I'm saying this when I haven't even met anyone

Other 2017 Highlights

1. Going Foundation Free!
This is one of the best things that I achieved this year! I inspired to go Foundation Free after watching Liah Yoo's How To Go Foundation Free video. At first I thought I ain't going to do it because girl has insecurities...but when I first tried it out, I was NOT BAD! I've fallen in love with FF the more days I'm going out FF! I can see myself doing this 'tradition' for long because I'm liking how my skin still looks like skin but better (better complexion too!) rather than a full on foundation that would just clogged my skin and makes my skin un-breathable. Also loving how the results of my skincare routine just emits its radiance & glow and not hidden by foundation...hope you guys get it, it's hard for me to explain haha I'm basically loving Foundation Free eversince.❤❤

1. New Awesome People In Life (Online & Offline)!
One of the best gifts the Universe can give you are good friends.❤❤❤
Ah, they came by free and brought joy and laughter! I'm so thankful to have known amazing new people this year and also other new friends, new comrades (friends going through studies together haha), getting closer to existing friends and maintaining existing friendships. I LOVEEE YOU ALL.

Met a local fellow ABer, Lin (@abandthesheetmaskwarrior)! I finally have someone from the same country to talk about skincare 247 with haha

and then my school friends to be dorky with...





So that concludes my 2017 (I guess)! What I learned is (I realized this on my birthday) that you don't need reassurance from one person when you have many around you that are already adoring you.



2018 Goals

I'm doing my Final Year of Degree in Computer Science in 2018 so I hope to go through that smoothly! Though I can see myself getting breakdowns from programming

I'm pretty much content with life. I'm just going to gear up for what's in for me!
