[REVIEW] COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

My skin is breaking out due to shark week, so I just had to open a pack of acne patches to the rescue. My rescuer this time is COSRX's Acne Pimple Master Patch which I've gotten from my 3rd Roseroseshop haul last month (read about it HERE). I am curious about this brand because it is one of the hottest Korean brands on the internet.

I love the packaging of this acne patch because it features a protective seal. It is convenient because the acne patches will have a good storage after opening and won't easily stick out from the inside, this problem occurs to me with typical acne patch packaging.

Instruction that needs to be emphasized:

"3. Do not change the patches until the size of the acne blemishes, pimple gets reduced, so that the patch can absorbs the impurities sufficiently."

This statement however, is false because I do not see any differences of its size after being used throughout the day and overnight.

I do not understand Korean but the images above shows the correct/incorrect way on placing the patches on your acne. English reference is available above.

There are a total of 24 acne patches, ranging from 10 small ones, 5 medium sizes and 9 big circles. I am cost-effective when it comes to acne patches. Rather than using the whole big circle on my acne, I cut the circle into half. Its so wasteful to use the big circle when your acne has a smaller size (if you ran out of the smaller patches). The patches have a  typical light herbally scent...but I can bare the smell, its not terrible to me.

The patches are not entirely flat, unlike other acne patches. Since it is not flat, the patches appear 3-D on the face. The color too is not entirely clear, which makes the patches to look obvious on the skin. The patches are still visible too even with makeup.

Its only been a few nights and trials since I applied the patches on my spots. So here are my observations;

• Day 1: the patches reduce acne size overnight

• Day 2: the patches lighten blemishes caused by acne
• Day 3: Acne is healed. Left only blemishes
There has been coloration of the patches after leaving them on the acne for a long time, which means that the patches absorb impurities thats coming from the acne.
Wish I could provide photo proof of the healing process to make it more convincing but I forgot :( booooo finn.

Pros +

• Convenient packaging

• Variety of sizes to choose from according to acne's size

Cons -

• Patches look obvious on the skin

• Makeup does not entirely hide the patches

• Have herbally smell that people may not like

My final thoughts:

I like how fast my acne healed with this one without leaving any scarring. The patches too can be easily removed without hassle and irritating the skin, despite its strong adherence. I dare to appear in public during the day with an acne patch on my face, so if you are okay with going outside with acne patches on, why not~ I just want to heal my acne! hahahaha.

BTW, the acne patches were tried on normal hormonal acne. I am not sure how the patches will work on stubborn acnes. Why not you guys give yourself a try and see how it works :)
