Price
USD 9.90/8ml
The powder is dispensed through the holes underneath the cap. I am afraid to waste this product since it is only 8ml.
Texture
The powder is white and scentless.
Application
You can't apply the powder straight on your troubled areas because it won't stick and dissipates fast. It is advised to mix it with other skincare products. I tested mixing it with serums and products with thinner consistency but it is not good as I couldn't get a thick application, so it is better to mix with creams or any products with a thick consistency so you get a thick paste. The powder literally dissolves when mixed with watery/thinner textures. You know how science works, don't you?
I've been mixing it with my cosrx ultimate nourishing rice overnight spa mask, it gives me the desired consistency for easy application.
It is also important for the mixing proportion to be right. In this case, the proportion of the powder has to be a little bit more than the cream to get the thick paste, though I feel that this method is a bit wasting and I don't like it~ especially when the powder is only 8 grams.
Getting this consistency is desired, you can easily apply it on your troubled areas and spread. I mix the mixture with a cotton bud and apply it to my troubled areas using the same cotton bud.
It takes awhile for it to dry. So try your best to keep a straight position while laying on your bed so it won't get wiped off. Haha.
When it dries, it doesn't dry out skin at all.
Results
I have been using this a couple of times now to treat my troubled spots and irritated areas.
I've been using it as an overnight spot treatment. You can use this during the day too if you are not going out or if you don't give a fuck about having white spot treatments on your face.
When I wake up in the morning, the white spots almost disappeared and produce a bit of fall out.
When my skin was irritated and red, I applied this product to relieve it and it instantly soothe the area. My redness disappeared after awhile and the area is calmed.
As for on the acne or pimples, it helps too sometimes by only soothing them (but doesn't really help with vanishing, it doesn't say that it will help to directly cure acne/pimples anyway). I noticed that it is more effective on whiteheads, I noticed that my whiteheads become smaller in size the next day (but not completely disappear).
My Final Thoughts
Overall it does its job in terms of soothing and relieving skin (as expected from a centella product) but I think that it is wasteful considering that I have to pour an amount of the powder to get the appropriate amount for application. If you have a big area to soothe then you might run out of this product very quickly.
The ingredients list is simple and good since there are a majority of soothing ingredients but for USD 9.90 for only 8 grams, I can't really justify haha and it is USD 18 for 16 grams ><
Will I purchase?
I would if I have some spare money to buy 8 grams of magical powder but that there are good soothing masks that can provide the same instant soothing results........so maybe not. Not even sure if it is worth trying but if you wanted to give it a try, why not~
Where To Buy

Hmm this is an interesting concept but I think I'm too lazy to be messing around with powder which doesn't make my pimples disappear! I like the Mizon Pink Spot Treatment, which does help with bringing pimples to a head and drying them out, without drying out the skin!
ReplyDeleteSophie | MapleTreeBlog
Yeah it is only for soothing proposes and I am sure there are many other products that can do that too in an instant! Oh now you make me want to get the Mizon *heart eyes emoji*
DeleteI was quite excited to get this cause I thought it was an interesting idea. But seems like it's abit troublesome and messy having to mix the powder with the gels after seeing your demo haha (I imagined it being really easy and I seem wrong lol). I also thought maybe I could just dab the powder on but it's gonna fall off lol. Thanks a lot for the review! <3
ReplyDeleteI thought it was interesting too at first! But then it is just troublesome and it is the kind of step that I forgot to apply at the end of my routine/before bed. Thank you for reading <3
