Hello, everyone! Hows everyone's August so far?
Mine has been passing by quickly. I will end work soon and second semester will start in just a week. I honestly feel that I don't have much time in appreciating my 2-months semester break as the leisure time I have has been filled in with work.
Also..............yesterday (30th August 2015) marks our one year journey. Happy first, Baby❤
This review contains trying out samples from The Face Shop, A'PIEU and It's Skin. I will explain picture by picture.
Left:
The Face Shop's Verbena Soothing body cleanser. It is their first body cleanser that I have tried and........I despise the scent so much. Oh God, the smell of Verbena flower that they are using is just terrible. It has a medicine smell and I just don't like it. My whole body smells like medicine when it is supposed to smell nice (Blossom scent is the heaven). Blergh. Babe said I could even cure people with the smell, I am a medicine, I can cure (Get it? No? OK). However, the body cleanser is foamy and bubble-ish. I give a 0/5 for this one. I hate the smell so much. Sorry! 10000000000094325524% won't be purchasing this nor trying this out again in the future.
Right:
A'PIEU Phytomcide(am I spelling this right?) Deep Cleansing Oil Foam. I did not get to take a picture of the consistency but it happens to be water-like. I rubbed the product onto my hands, it produces a smell that is similar to Etude House's AC Clinic face wash. However, it produces little bubble. It has sort of medicine-y smell but the smell is more pleasant than verbena (yuck!). The result of the oil foam is that, it does cleanse my face thoroughly. It has been proved when I am spreading toner onto my face by using a cotton pad, signs of make-up residues are not sighted. It may say that it is an 'oil' foam but I did not detect any trace of oil feeling or smell. My rating will be 4/5, -1 because I don't fond of this face wash. I experienced nothing great with this one.
The Face Shop's Verbena (verbena again) Soothing body gel lotion.
I thought that the lotion will have the usual white liquid consistency but this one is different. I guess this is the first I have seen a lotion with transparent consistency. I do not like the smell of verbena but I like the way how this type of lotion absorbs into my skin, it is non-sticky too and it feels like as if I did not apply anything but the scent is there. My rating will be 1/5, one point because I love the unlike-any-other-lotion consistency. I'd love to look for a nicer scent.
It's Skin Prestige Bebe Wash D'Escargot. Just to confirm, are those French words??
I had high hopes on this body wash due to my bad experience in trying out the unpleasant verbena above and I adore the cute graphic. However, it is BARELY a body wash. It has no scent at all and produces very very very little foam. The job as a body wash is really really bad. I really could not detect the scent. In the end, I wash my body with my usual shower gel. I have zero experience with this body wash so my rating is 0/5.
Another It's Skin product, which is their Prestige D'Escargot Finale. At first I cut out the right packet because I thought it would have something in it, but it happened to be nothing inside. The description of the product is really vague so I decided to look it up what it is supposed to do. As expected, it is a moisturizer that can help to moisturize and brighten the skin. I found out that the original packaging is quite pricey, around USD 40 if I am not mistaken. However. it provides whitening result towards users (as read from reviews that I found).
I applied this moisturizer right after toner. I made a good decision to skip my snail cream, ampoule and gel because this thing is so moisturizing! I only need to dispense a little/median amount and it goes a long way, in other words the amount is enough for the whole face. I might break out due to high moisture level, good thing that I skipped my usual skincare routine. I did not break out the next day and continue using the moisturizer for daytime skincare. My skin is still moisturized even after sweating. I must say the moisturizing strength is good. For whitening, I guess I have to use more of it to judge better. I forgot to bring along the moisturizer, so I asked my mom back home to finish it. Haha. My rating for this product is 5/5. Might consider purchasing the original packaging but it is pricey $$$$$$
