[REVIEW] Etude House Play Therapy Soft Clay Pack Pore & Sebum Care

The product packaging. Friggin cute right~

Here is an extract from the back packaging;
"This is a soft clay pack that reduces the size of pores and amount of sebum with its smooth texture, Brazil Forest Clay and Eucalyptus ingredients."

"What is a Brazil Forest Clay? This is a natural clay from the Brazil Amazon area, popularly used among Amazon natives for its abundant minerals and effectiveness."

I made a product swatch and test on my hand earlier. The texture really is smooth and easy to spread. However, the scent is kind of medicine-y....it smells like a prescription box from a hospital but it is not strong. The color is the lightest green that you can ever imagine of.

After being spread. I then leave on the product for minutes (no more than 10).

Later on, it dries but not completely. It seems that the texture can still be dissolved with rubbing. The packaging stated that the product should be leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. My hand does not feel tight either.

During the application, haha~
In the 'Before' progress, the product gives a creamy texture and in the 'After' progress after leaving it on for 10 minutes, the texture dries (but not completely) and leaves a matte look on the face. It cannot be really seen in the picture though.....
The tightness strength of the product is light as I can still accomplish a wide smile during application, the tightness strength isn't like any other clay pack which tightens the face firmly. When I wash it off, the product tends to have a 'powdery run-off', ya get what I mean? Like a mixture of water and powder. I find it weird because powders are soft textures, isn't a clay pack should have a harden texture?

Photo is taken using the back camera of a Samsung S4 with flashlight. There is still water on my face when taking the 'After' result, haha. Frankly, this is the fourth time (I guess) applying this product. According to my observation, it does not do much on shrinking the pores (or I should apply often to see efficient result) but the aftermath is that it leaves my skin feeling smooth~ Simply click to enlarge photo for a better view. If anyone of you spotted any difference, do let me know because I could not detect any, haha. My skin is breaking out prior to menstrual cycle :(

My verdict for the product is 3/5. As someone who has a porous face, my aim is to make my pores invisible. This product does not do much of that task for me. I have read reviews that some other people experienced immediate results where their pores are getting smaller :( but it does not do that to mine :( There are many other tightening clay masks out there and I am sure they will do a better job for my skin. Will look for another product and won't be repurchasing this, sorry~

P/s; I am hating on the reddest post-facial-acne-mark on my left cheek. Its has already been weeks since the facial treatment and it hasn't disappear yet >~< As a conclusion, I won't go to the facial place again.
