A week ago I received a lovely PR package from one of the brands that I have always been curious about, Purpletale. I discovered about brand when I first saw Ryanraroar's (Singaporean male beauty blogger) Instagram post about it a few months back. My curiosity of the brand developed since then, I just thought that they were unique and captivating in some kind of way.

Hi I’m Young-Ji.
I would never have used the word “Beautiful” to describe myself a few years ago.
Not with the extreme expectations of beauty out there today. Not while being bombarded with gorgeous faces and exotic races on TV, magazine covers and all over my newsfeeds, day in and day out. Not in this world where it’s so easy to modify anything that’s wrong with you, whether digitally or surgically.
I was cute. Pretty, at best. But I would never have looked at myself and said “Hi Beautiful.”
Too much of our time is spent in the mirror on a fault finding mission and trying achieve someone else’s sensationalized standard. We focus on what’s not right with us, what we wish were different, and not learning to appreciate the person looking back at us in the mirror.
I wanted to change that—to help other people see the beauty in themselves. That’s why I created purpletale. "Your face may be the star, but your neck shares the spotlight. Give it a little extra loving with out revitalizing cream that helps tighten and keep wrinkles at bay" oh gosh how I love how this sounds so much. It is just smartly thought out and really convinced me to get this neck cream. Seriously though, imagine having a youthful face but a saggy neck, it just don't match. I never thought of caring for my neck seriously before. I like how PT is attentive towards neck care.

The neck cream comes in a circular box, fancy. I open the box and the neck cream will be sitting there, like on its own throne.

Underneath the 'throne', there lies a plastic spatula. I like it when companies are thoughtful about having a spatula. Kudos to companies that include spatulas for tub products!
The actual neck cream. it has a hard glass body, need to be cautious when holding because I don't want to break it. The packaging can be bulky for travelling, but you can always store it in a smaller container.

Consistency:
Not too thick but rich, spreads well. Absorbed well into the skin too, it doesn't feel heavy and greasy though I live in a humid area. I compared my hands with and without the cream and my hand with the cream appeared brighter. The cream made my neck brighter too temporarily. The brightening effect is mild and natural. Hope the effect will be permanent after a long use.
Scent:
it smells so divineeeeeee without being overwhelming. It is hard for me to describe the scent, it smells like a perfume that is appropriate for a house's living room. it just smells so nice.
My final thoughts:
I am a 20-year old and already have 2 very fine neck fold lines, I am not sure if it is visible to others but it bothers me a bit. I wonder is it normal to already develop those fold lines at age 20?
I never used any neck creams before, this is my first. I usually just spread the leftover face moisturizer and essence from sheetmasks to my neck.
I apply the neck cream day and night via massaging, sharing its goodness to my collarbones as well. I haven't observe any changes to my neck lines but throughout a week of using it, its been enjoyable. I love it so much(especially for the smell!) that sometimes I apply it twice on my neck during night time and even at random times during the day. I hope there will be improvements after a long term use.
I do not feel any tightening sensation or might have yet to. Its been gentle to me. No breakouts as well.
The price may be a bit high up but I assume that must've been from their fancy packaging and amazing ingredients. 50ml just for the neck alone is a generous amount anyway, it is worth the money because this product is just delightful.
Anyway, the neck cream is moisturizing and hydrating. It makes the neck look visibly hydrated. Once again, the cream doesn't feel heavy, non-greasy and doesn't make my neck prone to perspire.
