I've only blogged twice last month. Yikes.
Seriously last month was busssyyyyyyyyy, considering that it is the 'peak' month of the semester. The thing that I am most frustrated about last month was programming. I am very bad with computer programming, even with Java and Prolog. I am sure that I have no talent in those. Major respect for people who can code so well, programming made me turn into a crazy person.
I cried to sleep because I can't figure out the codes *referring to Prolog*.
Hows everyone's May so far?
If you had a devastating(well not really) one like me, I pray that you will have an amazing one for June :)

OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum Review
I ordered this from Roseroseshop for around USD11 + shipping somewhat on March 2016 and it arrived on April 2014. I can't exactly remember the dates, as at the same time I am lazy to access my RRS account to check back my previous order.
As you can see from the above photo, I wrote my name with marker pen(it fades now) to make sure that nobody will throw it away without knowing that it belonged to me, the serum have to be kept in the fridge after opening to sustain the longevity of Vitamin C, as it can go bad so quickly when storing it directly to sunlight or in a normal room temperate. It is so hard to take care of really considering that I commute weekly, I had to take the serum in and out with me. Thankfully, it does not go bad until I finished the product.
The serum will turn into a brownish color when it goes bad/oxidizes. When this happens, do immediately throw away the serum, or else it might give you break outs.
Packaging:
The serum is a replenishing facial treatment infused with vitamin C, it is in a thick small glass bottle with a capacity of 30ml, its longevity is 3 months after opening. I read that the product immediately went bad after 3 months. Glad that I managed to finish it early.
Do you know that this serum is highly raved among the Asian Beauty community? I've seen tons of awesome reviews about this product that it magically heals user's acne scars. Since I had some acne scars, ofcourse I was tempted to get this serum.
Ingredients List
Directions of use
The product features a pipette to get and dispense the serum. One full drop of the serum is enough for my whole face.
Consistency:
It is a non-watery serum, has a faint yellow color, it smells like oranges, specifically similar to the orange Scott's Emulsion that I used to eat as a kid.
The experience:
I applied the serum right after toner by massaging. It absorbs well into the skin but felt sticky right after, but not to the extend that it feels like you just smeared sugar water on your face. I read reviews that you have to wait for approximately 30 mins before applying another product. At first I did not wait until 30 mins, so the forthcoming products did not absorb nicely on my face. The stickiness goes away after 20~30 mins. I observed that my forthcoming moisturizers absorbed better into my skin after the wait.
I also experienced some tingles during the first few usages, then it goes away when my skin gets used to it. It is recommended to use at night but I used it for day and night because I want the results to be quick. It was only for a month and a half that I get to try the serum, then I emptied it (you will see the serum in my May 2016 empties soon). I remembered that the serum stings a bit after I extracted some blackheads and when the acne pops.
Results:
It dries matte but I like how it gives immediate glowy/shiny and brightened face effects right after use and it was moisturizing for me. I also observed that my skin tone become even and lightened while I was using the serum, now that I've emptied it, I don't really see much of those effects.
The result that I am anticipating the most is that I was hoping for the serum to heal my acne scars magically, unfortunately, it does not give that effect to me like how it did to others. However, I noticed that my blemishes disappeared fast with this serum, it takes about 2 weeks for the blemish to be completely disappear. It does not do much in lightening my pigmentation either.
Pros +
- Lightened, brightened the skin
-Gives glow/shiny effect without being oily
-Dries matte but moisturizing
-Lightened blemishes
Cons -
-feels sticky after application
-time consuming
-did not do much on my scars and pigmentation
-hard to take care of, have to be refrigerated all the time
Will I repurchase?
It does not give me a wow effect and it is time consuming since I have to wait for 30 mins --- it was such a hassle especially during the day when I had to get ready (sometimes I just quickly finished my skincare routine without the wait), so, NO. But I would like to try the improved version which is the C21.5 serum, I've always wanted to make my acne scars disappear.
Will I recommend?
Yes if you are not sensitive to alcohol (3rd in the ingredients list) or vitamin C, and yes if you are okay with the wait and sticky feeling, otherwise not. I personally think that it suits all skin types.
My rating:
4/5
Have you tried the C20 serum? What are your experiences with it?
