Hello, Everyone! Not sure if I can call this a comparison review because there is ONLY ONE (or two or three) difference between these two hahah anyway, lets get into it!
Sometime in August, I received an unexpectedly generous package from Boomdeahdah, a Korean Beauty company. Their motto is "We Love The World" which I think is cute. I can't get much info about the company since there is no English translation on their website, but the motto seems to mean that they are focusing on using natural ingredients.
I received a total of 6 products from them, they are too kind! In this post I am just going to talk about 2 of the products I received to review, which are their MILD and PURE cleansing oils. I've talked about their Pure Cleansing Water and Eye & Lip Makeup Remover on my Instagram, both which I really love and wanted to purchase.
Boomdeahdah Mild Cleansing Oil(180ml)
Price: 8,900₩
Ingredients of the Mild Cleansing Oil
Boomdeahdah Pure Cleansing Oil(180ml)
Price: 7,900₩
Ingredients of the Pure Cleansing Oil
Consistency
Texture is clear watery but a bit thick. It has some kind of artificial scent to it....like plastic smell. Not that it bother me though. Consistency, scent and finish of both Mild and Pure versions are the same.
Since it is a cleansing oil, of course it leaves an oily film on the skin, but it is not too heavy. I don't mind because I always go straight for 2nd cleanser. When mixed with water, it emulsifies well, turned to white and mixes with the impurities and makeup on the face.
Here I am going to demonstrate how well it removes makeup. Above photo I abused my hand with lipsticks, waterproof eyeliners (heart shapes) and eyeshadows.
I massaged the dirty area with cotton pad and look how clean it is!
Aftermath of the cotton pad. Anyway I find that they don't really erase lip stains/lip tints that is tinted on the skin, they are stubborn to be removed anyway.
Above is the demonstration using the Pure Cleansing Oil as I've already emptied the Mild Cleansing Oil (I stopped using it after finding out that it broke me out so I used the remainder to clean my makeup brushes and decanted it).
I must say that both removed face makeup efficiently and cleanses impurities on the face well.
Comparisons
1. Price
The difference of the cost between both of them is just 1,000₩ where the Pure version is cheaper than the Mild version.
2. Ingredients
If you noticed, the ingredients are 99.9% same, except for ONE ingredient that is present in the Mild version but absent in the Pure version, which is Isopropyl Myristate, a thickening agent.
3. Irritation
My skin broke out from using the Mild version but not the Pure version. This is probably because the absence of the Isopropyl Myristate in the Pure version, I looked up that it has a comedogenic rating of 5 (super high) and irritation level of 3 (high) (source). I am going to be cautious for that ingredient now. I suspect that the ingredient is the cause of my breakouts *screw you for giving me bad skin days*
I guess thats all the comparisons that I have to say about, the main difference for me is that the Mild version broke me out while the Pure version does not. I've been loving the Pure version and I am still using it now, I might empty it at the end of the month or in January 2017. I want to purchase it someday.
so, the winner is....Boomdeahdah Pure Cleansing Oil!
It doesn't break me out and it cleanses well.

Anyway these products do not contain alcohol and parabens, in case if any if you care.
Thank you for reading! What do you guys think of these cleansing oils?
For more information on Boomdeahdah, you can head over to www.boomdeahdah.com. Their products can be purchased through the website and for international consumers, Boomdeahdah products can be purchased through Gmarket, simply search for 'Boomdeahdah' on Gmarket and you will see the company's profile selling their products.
I saw Boomdeahdah products on eBay too but I don't really recommend buying from them as I've noticed that the prices are too hiked up than the original affordable price.
Thank you, Boomdeahdah for giving me the opportunity to test out your products!
