BEVYC Pore Refining Essence and Oil Control Lotion Review

Okay, something really got into me. I greeted my blog with Hello instead of the usual Annyeong/Annyeonghaseyo and I don't know why haha.

I was sent BEVYC's Pore Refining Essence and Oil Control Lotion.

Both of these have the same claims to "Refine and improve the skin tone and texture" & "Purifying, Oil-control and Pore Minimizer".

The essence's function is to declog congested pores and help to prevent future oil clog where as the lotion is gearing towards providing hydration without causing pore clogging.

Ingredients:


COSDNA

Application:
pump type, can control the amount to dispense

Consistency:
slightly runny, tinge of yellowish colour

Scent: 
smells like flower tea, seems to be naturally derived from its botanical ingredients list

Thoughts:
For 30ml, I think I was able to use it for 2~3 months day and night. Half a pump is even enough to apply onto my targeted areas which are my porous zones such as my nose, forehead and cheeks. As a person with oily skin, it is nice that the texture sinks fast into my skin and leaves a matte, satin finish, I can also quickly layer another product on top of it. Having clogged pores is one of my biggest skin concerns so I was hoping that this essence could save my skin from it. Unfortunately even after using the essence until it finishes, it doesn't really help with unclogging my existing clogged pores. I do am aware that Mushroom Extract (3rd in ingredients list) helps to tame pores.

Final thoughts:
It also doesn't help much with oil production and refining my pores, my skin texture stayed the same. My skin is the type to need a more powerful ingredient (BHA) to combat my clogged and refining pore problems. On the positive note, the essence didn't break me out nor causes clogging. It might work for others but unfortunately not on me.

BEVYC products aim for a more gentle and natural skin care process where no harmful ingredients added, which is probably why the essence isn't really effective on my skin.

BEVYC Oil Control Lotion Review

Consistency:
white lotion, feels and absorbs light

Thoughts: 
his lotion do lives up to its claims which is lightweight and non-greasy formula and doesn't clogged pores. It does moisturizes and hydrates my skin in the long run, however the moisture that it provides might not be enough for those with dry skin types, it is good enough for normal to oily skin types. The formula leaves a matte satin finish as well and I can even apply the lotion multiple times without worrying about getting greasy. It also contains a-arbutin for whitening but I don't really notice a change in this.

Final Thoughts:
overall it's a great moisturizer for oily skin types, I enjoyed using this.

I'm glad that both products don't cause me acne, the essence is a little underwhelming to what my skin needs while the lotion is a perfect moisturizer for my oily skin, though it doesn't really help with acne (not that it is its claims anyway). I'd love to use the lotion again though!

The video above shows the consistency of both the essence and the lotion. Both absorbs into matte and leaves skin feeling smooth and velvety.
