Oh, Brunei's sunset, you never fail to amaze me.
Photo taken on 16th June 2017, while on the road to go home after sending babe to the airport. I miss him dearly already.
I already posted my review of the Liu & Lei Diana Gen Prestige Cream Gold Caviar on my Instagram last month. You can read it here: Liu & Lei Diana Gen Prestige Cream Gold Caviar Review
I am including the review of the cream in my blog so it is easier for people to search for its reviews on Google. I am that kind.
Disclaimer: I received this cream in exchange for my honest review from Jolse. I do not receive any compensation by doing so.
Liu & Lei Diana Gen Prestige Cream Gold Caviar Review
The box of the cream is really gorgeous~ crocodile-like skin pattern is printed on it, the box is bulky and printed with rose gold writings. I like the logo, it reminded me of Wonder Woman.
Features of the cream (taken from Jolse)
Deep and thick nourishments deliver fresh vitality to the skin.
Total Care Cream
Helps with maintaining moisture balance and tends the skin by delivering rich nourishment without stickiness.
Provide Skin Nourishment
Perfects elasticity with nourishments filling in from the skin when applied by delicately covering the skin.
Skin Safety Test Completed
The cream is diamond shaped~! So pretty. It also comes with a spatula and the cream itself sits on its pedestal.
The cream right now costs a shocking price of USD 99.98/55ml at Jolse after a USD 25 discount. SO. EXPENSIVE and the price is out of my league! This is far by the most expensive cream/beauty product that I have ever possessed. I was stunned upon receiving and unboxing this because I never thought in my entire life to own such cream!
Packaging
The diamond shaped cream~ so beautiful that it is rose gold in colour. actually the shape makes it hard to hold that it can slip out from your hands. When I was using the cream, I always place it on its pedestal and pick up the cream that way. The whole thing actually feels so much like plastic, nothing special, it is not even metal or fancy material. Twist the cap to open.
Ingredients
Okay, heres the thing about the ingredients. I PERSONALLY think that this cream focuses more on the packaging than the quality of its ingredients. Right, the gold and caviar are in it but it is not listed high in the list, caviar is ranked in the middle while gold comes almost last.
There is alcohol in it too, fragrance, a few of silicones and caramel (???????). Gold and Yellow colourings are also added to the list. While the good ingredients such as Shea Butter (moisturizes dry skin), butylene glycol, hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate (moisturizers), niacinamide, ascorbic acid and pearl extract (whitening), adenosine (anti-aging) and betaine (antioxidant) can be found in way cheaper creams and skincare products too. I am not really impressed by the ingredients list because I notice common ingredients.
Consistency
white cream with speckles of gold, has a hint of shea butter smell. If you have dry/un-nourished skin then this cream might be fully absorbed to your face and becomes your-cup-of-tea cream. I have an occasionally oily type so this cream is unable to absorb fully into my face. I feel that it was too nourishing and too much for my skin.
Performance
I am unable to use this cream for long because it was too much on me and I started breaking out after applying this cream for only a few days, I immediately stopped using. I don't think this cream will suit acne prone, clogged prone and oily skin types.
I already emptied this cream, I had been slathering it on my body. My body takes it better than my face.
Now....I am thinking if I should keep the packaging. I still have the box and the 'diamond' with me and it is hiding inside my cabinet, I barely have any space on my vanity to place it as a decoration. To keep the packaging or not hmmmmm the fact that it is expensive makes me don't want to throw it away!
My Final Thoughts
Again, if you have dry or un-nourished skin, this cream might be worthy for you, if you don't mind some major spending but there are ALOT of great and cheaper creams available in the kbeauty world. Even if I am rich, I don't think that the price is worth it. Unless if I am just captivated by the packaging....but still nahh
