Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask Review | with Spirulina, Marine Complex and Pearl

Annyeong, Everyone~
I haven't been discovering new English songs on Youtube so I wanted to share amazing songs that I heard recently! All of them are from the band Imagine Dragons. O m g their music is DOPE.

Imagine Dragons - Walking The Wire (this one is my personal favourite because I can relate to this song).

Okay, now lets get on the Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask Review!

Disclaimer: I won this product in Shangpree's Instagram giveaway. I am not required by them to do a review of this product nor benefit any compensation but I am a self-proclaimed beauty blogger so of course I have to share about the beauty products that I tried!

I didn't expect quite a bulky packaging for this product! I thought eye masks are going to appear smaller haha. I also received a PINK Shangpree hand mirror in the package. Eeeekkk pink is my favourite colour and the mirror is just gorgeous! I love it~ Thank you Shangpree!💓

On one side of the box it is stated that a portion of proceeds from Shangpree sales is donated to Korea Green Foundation to assist climate change refugees.

The eye masks' longevity after opening is 2 months. It contains 60 patches inside so if you use every night for 2 months you can finish the product on time!

Product's MFG date: 27th December 2016
Product's EXP date: 26th December 2019

I actually didn't want to open this eye mask early and wanted to save it for next time because it is pricey and I can hardly afford any Shangpree products now but exams were approaching last time and I needed some eye masks to keep my eyes awake and steady.

The product comes with a spatula to pick up the eye masks! It also comes with a seal to avoid the essence to spill out from the tub.

I loveeeeee the beautiful algae/seaweed(??) green colour of the eye patches! They are glittery too.

Anyway, I commuted while I was having my exams and I think the tub isn't really travel friendly as I noticed a little leakage. The essence spilled out a bit and I don't know how it happened.

Thank goodness for the spatula to pick up the eye patches easily because I think picking up with our fingers will be hard as the patches can be slippery.

When I first opened the tub, the eye masks smell nice! Not perfumey, not florally, but just pleasantly nice. The smell isn't really strong and it disappears during application. I guess the botanical extracts make up the pleasant smell of it.

The eye patch itself is not too thin nor too thick. It does adhere well on the eyes within the instructed duration but at some cases I experienced it slipping down slowly but did not completely fall. So far the patches that I used are well saturated with essence.

Direction For Use:

1. Cleanse and tone your skin
2. Take our the masks with the enclosed spatula and place on the areas you desire
3. Leave on for about 20 to 30 minutes
.4. Remove the masks. No need to rinse.

OK guys so after typing out the directions above I just knew that I can place the masks on my forehead, neck and smile lines! I am going to do that!

Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Butylene Glycol, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Algae Extract, Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract, Enteromorpha Compressa Extract, Sargassum Fulvellum Extract, Spirulina Platensis Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Pearl Extract, Hizikia Fusiforme Extract, Codium Fragile Extract, Pearl Powder, Plankton Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Monarda Didyma Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaft Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Betaine, Allantoin, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum, Calcium Chloride, Chromium Oxide Greens, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, CI 77891, Titanium/Titanium Dioxdie, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Scutellaria Caicalensis Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the ingredients list! I think the ingredients list is beautiful. So many botanical extracts infused such as lavendar, rosemary, peppermint, matricaria etc. Its main ingredients are SPIRULINA EXTRACT, MARINE COMPLEX (Plankton Extract, Algae Extract etc) and PEARL POWDER for brightening dark circles.

No alcohol, parabens and colourings added. There is fragrance however but it is listed as the last ingredient.

REVIEW

I have been using these for quite awhile now and I think I am already at half of the tub.

First of all I have been using day and night everyday ever since I opened the tub, the product's longevity is only 2 months so I wanted to use them up quickly. I also have been putting the product in the fridge after using in hopes for the expiry date to last longer.

For first impressions when I used it during my exam week, I like how it refreshes my sleepy eyes and make my eyes feel energized and awake. I guess thats why there is 'energy' in its name, it energizes my eyes!

Later I started to notice that using it twice daily doesn't suit my eye areas' current condition, it was too much so I reduced it to using once a day. I noticed that applying it twice daily makes my eye areas to pill up, the essence doesn't really absorb into my eyes anymore. I am 21 years old, my eye areas are not dry and un-nourished, I think they are normal.

Then using once a day also makes my eye areas to pill, now the fixed routine to put these on is once for every two days, then it won't pill for me.

The way I use them is as directed, place it under my eye areas, wait for 20~30 mins, take off and tap tap in the essence. The essence doesn't leave any sticky/greasy/heavy finish, hence it is plumping!

So overall...

🎔 it makes my eyes feel energized, refreshed and awake.
🎔 my eyes benefited from the anti-aging benefits
🎔 it hydrates, conditions and plumps up my eye areas
🎔 My eye areas did not experience any negative effects such as stinging, redness nor causes any bumps

The cons?

🎔 hmm the pillings? but it is not a really big weakness to me since that I can also apply the eye patch on my forehead, smile lines and neck!
🎔 I don't really notice much in term of brightening but I don't really have deep dark circles

My Final Thoughts

I think it is a great product to use and invest in! I want to purchase these myself in the future when I run out and when I have enough money.  I think that it is worth to buy this product due to the reasonably picked ingredients, you don't see spirulina and plakton extract often in skincare! Moreover if you have dry, aged or un-nourished eyes you might love this product alot! It is really amazing.

Simple Skincare Kind To Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover Review | Lookfantastic Mini Review

Annyeong, Everyone~ I ordered this Simple Skincare Kind To Eyes Eye Makeup Remover off Lookfantastic because I was looking for a replacement to my favourite point makeup remover which is the Boomdeahdah Lip & Eye Remover. It was my first time buying something from Lookfantastic and I think their service is quite good. It is a UK-based online store that ships worldwide for FREE. I live for free shipping sites!!!! I remembered that I ordered sometime in November 2016 and my order got shipped out ON THE SAME DAY . I was amazed at their fast shipping service. The free shipping didn't come with a tracking number but thats alright. It arrived a month to Brunei and my small item was packed in a big box. They also included a voucher to use within the UK but unfortunately I had to throw it out since I'm not living in the UK. Overall I'm happy shopping with Lookfantastic and would definitely buy from them again. My item was received in a good condition too, no leakage
