Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover Base Review

Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover Base is a makeup base where you use it during the first step of makeup to cover the pores and make the skin look flawless and smooth before applying foundation or bb cream. Holika's Sweet Cotton features other products too from the same line such as Sweet Cotton Pore Cover BB Cream, Sweet Cotton Pore Cover Powder, Sweet Cotton Sebum Clear Pact and Sweet Cotton Sebum Clear Powder Face Mist. It seems like the line is targeted towards people with oily skin.
The packaging are so cute with soft pink colors! I love the cotton candy graphic on the front and the girlish packaging.
I have been using this product for quite sometime now, so I am going to share my honest review about what I think of the product. I purchased this product at a local Holika Holika store. I forgot how much it actually cost but I think no more than $15?
Back packaging is fully printed in Korean. The packaging holds 25ml of the product.
The product features a twist cap. Again, don't the overall look of this product is cute??
I dispensed the actual product from the tube on the back of my hand. The product has a velvety texture, but not too light and not too thick, just median. And the smell, the smell....the product smells like cotton candy! It has a sweet scent.
The product dissolves easily on the skin. My hand looks smooth when the product is absorbed. Lets try it out on the actual pores on the face!
The product does not really cover the pores on the face..but it makes my skin feels smooth. The pore cover base does not cake up my foundation/bb cream on top, so it blends well with foundation/bb cream. The pore cover base does not make my skin feel oily too. Let me just briefly note down the product's pros and cons below.

Pros +
♡ Major major points for cute packaging
♡ Has a sweet scent like cottoncandy
♡ Makes the skin feel smooth after applying

Cons -
♡ Does not cover the pores

My rating:
It obviously does not do what it claims to, which is covering the pores. The product did cover my pores when I first tested it at the store, so I was amazed. but after I bought it and noticing the effect after using for a couple of times, it does nothing. This situation always happen to me. Products that I tried at makeup stores turn out so well then it turns into nothing after buying it >< such a waste of my money~ Does anybody else experience this too??

Will I repurchase?
Obviously no. I am looking for a makeup base/primer that REALLY cover the pores.


so I played with makeup today (I play with makeup whenever I feel like it) and it bugs me that my phone selca camera quality is not cooperating when I want to take lit selfies (need an iPhone soon)

Purple Tale Unboxing + Once Upon A Neck Cream Review
