If you guys didn't know, I'm on a COSRX ROLL because I've been posting my reviews on Cosrx products that I've tried and going to continue sharing my reviews on Cosrx products until maybe tomorrow. I will share the links below if you are interested in reading them!
Now, I am going to introduce you guys to a product of Cosrx that I can't live without and it also received a HOLY GRAIL status from me.
Previously I've written reviews on the Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion and A-Sol and they didn't work at all for me. This product, the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid holds the reason why those two didn't work. Continue reading to find out.

BHA Blackhead Power Liquid gets rid of dead skin cell and blackhead within the pores and prevents oxidized sebum from turning into blackheads.
BHA Blackhead Power Liquid has mixed a natural BHA ingredient, Betaine Salicylate, at 4%,
and you can witness your skin get smoother and glossy as time goes by, as well as it light texture.
Ingredients
➥There are only TEN ingredients in this product and it already WORKS WONDERS for my skin *Angel's choir*
➥Willow Bark Water is known for pore care.
➥Betaine Salicylate AKA BHA is 4%. Which is quite high thus causing sensitivity to some user's skin.
➥Niacinamide: anti-inflammatory, anti-redness, whitening
➥Panthenol: moisturizing
➥Sodium Hyaluronate AKA Hyaluronic Acid: skin moisturizing
Consistency
➥Clear scentless runny texture
➥Absorbs fairly quickly into skin
➥Required to wait 10~20 minutes for it to fully absorb into skin due to it being an active/acid
➥Dries matte, doesn't dry out my skin at all, tad moisturizing but required to follow up with moisturizers
➥It is important to NOT use an acid/active alone and MUST follow up with moisturizers. Or else your skin will become dry and cause irritation or acne.
My Thoughts
➥I got this from my Jolse order sometime in November.
➥I've been using it since end of January-early February this year and look...I BARELY MADE A DENT even though I've been using it daily day and night on most days!
How I use it?
➥After the toner step. It is best to implement acids/actives in the early stages after cleansing or toner so that what it strongly claims get absorbed by your skin first
➥It is instructed to use a cotton pad for application but I think that it is a waste...I am stubborn like that
➥BUT it is safer because your hands won't get directly touched by the acid that can cause peeling or drying
➥I'm guilty for doing the above...but I am a vigorous hand cream user so my hand doesn't peel that much (but yea it gets dry whooops)
➥One pump is enough to be applied on my targeted areas eg. acne, clogged pores/comedones, porous zones (especially my cheeks and nose), as well on the forehead and chin
➥DO NOT APPLY NEAR TO THE LIPS OR THE AREAS WILL PEEL. I experienced this so I always be careful.
➥Also DO NOT PROCEED WITH AN EYE CREAM STEP AFTER IMPLEMENTING ACIDS/ACTIVES BECAUSE IT MIGHT STING. Acid transfers, buddies. So be safe! Wait or wash your hands. I dumbly experienced this too.
➥Another warning, DO NOT COMBINE BHA + AHA OR + VITAMIN C OR + RETINOL in ONE SKINCARE ROUTINE! Gosh the amount of acids that are being overloaded into your skin....you wanna kill your skin is it? It is best to use ONE acid/active at a time. pH adjusting toners such as the Cosrx/Mizon AHA/BHA Toner etc are okay because they are not really concentrated.
➥Lastly, ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN IF YOU APPLY ANY ACIDS DURING THE DAY. ACIDS/ACTIVES ARE PRONE TO SENSITIVITY WHEN EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT. Again, I stupidly went through this too and I get small pimples as a punishment. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T ADVISE!
Pros
➥I don't have quite a number of blackheads to start with BUT I think this indeed helps to prevent them as I don't really have much blackheads.
➥The exfoliation work is definitely working on me. Not that I can see/feel that my dead skin cells are turning over BUT I can tell it cleanses my pores within BECAUSE this helps to prevent my pores from clogging as well and it also helps with VANISHING EXISTING CLOSED COMEDONES/PORES without causing any irritation at all.
➥As for acne, in some cases, the early stages of acne are clogged pores. Again, this product helps with the disappearance of my clogged pores before they evolve into a depressed acne. I hope ya get what I mean. It does help with making my skin clear. One time when I first introduced this, I was happy because I didn't have any breakouts, only during that time of the month.
➥Due to the facts above, my skin texture becomes refined and smoother.
➥This doesn't break me out and I can freely use it day and night daily. No irritation (unless I committed the dumb things again), no stinging. Mah skin loves it.
➥As for whitening due to the presence of NIACINAMIDE, first, the Niacinamide percentage is unknown and actually I don't notice much of difference in whitening. Not that I mind, this product has already done a good job with pore care.
Cons
➥NONE for me!
In what way does the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is more effective on my skin than the Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion and A-Sol?
➥First, I do think it is because of the simpler ingredients used in the BPL. The BHA skin returning series have Alcohols in them. The ingredients based in BPL is more suitable for me.
➥Secondly, this is where it holds the answer to its effectiveness. IT IS BECAUSE THE BHA PERCENTAGE OF THE BPL IS HIGHER THAN THE SKIN RETURNING SERIES. The A-Sol has 1% of BHA while the Emulsion is unknown. The BPL itself contains 4% of BHA which is x4 of the one existed in A-Sol. That being said, higher BHA % works on my skin better. I have the skin of an iron.
So yeah hope these facts are able to help you with your choices/decisions! Always go with whats best for your skin.
My Final Thoughts
➥Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is a WINNER for me and BAE.♡♡♡
➥I will definitely repurchase when I run out. I hope Cosrx won't stop producing this gem. Can you believe that a product with only TEN ingredients worked so well?? Clogged pores are my biggest problem (if not the breakout season) so I am just grateful to finally find a product that works with curing them.
➥If you are an acid first timer, I advise you to always be careful and patch test on a small area before proceeding to apply full face. You don't know what is going to happen. It is also good to try a sample of it first.
