Annyeong, Everyone~
Before I proceed with my review, I just want to state a disclaimer.
I won't be blogging as often now that I am back to school.
I might get on hiatus for a few months again until the semester break.
I wish everyone will have a great day everyday!
I will definitely miss blogging and don't worry, I will be back on track during the holidays

This cute item from Etude House was released in early 2016 if I remember correctly. Every time Etude House releases new products, I always feel that I needed to get my hands on them. The brand has a special place in my heart, it is the first brand that got me stuck into Kbeauty.
This sleeping mask comes in 3 flavors which are Green Tea, Black Tea and Strawberry. All of them sounds delicious right!
What It Is
The bubble tea sleeping pack makes skin moisturized and elastic during the night with its compound of black tea gel and moisture capsule bubbles.
How to Apply
1. Using the spatula, dispense gel and 1-2 bubbles onto the palm.
2. Gently rupture the bubbles with the spatula onto the palm and rub with the fingers to mix the bubbles and pack.
3. Evenly apply on skin in a massaging motion to promote absorption into skin.
4. Leave it on overnight, and then wash off with lukewarm water the next morning.
Tips! Use only gel depending on the condition of skin. For better moisturizing effect, mix the gel with 1-2 bubbles.
Info taken from Etude House Official website
I luckily won myself the strawberry variant in a Instagram giveaway.
The main claims of the Strawberry are:
Moisturizing
Brightening
Clearing Skin
Skin Vitality
Elastic Skin
Elastic Skin
Ingredients
COSDNA
Ingredients to note:
Alcohol Denat - 5th in list if you have concerns
Sodium Hyaluronate - 7th on list. A sibling of Hyaluronic Acid which is for moisturizing.
Agar - to build its viscosity. I don't have a good feeling about this one for skincare. this substance is used as a thickener for foods which is why I am dubious to put it on my face.
There are about 4 colorants/pigments to make up the color which are HC Yellow No. 4, Red and Black Iron Oxide and Red 227. I don't like the idea of having synthetic colors on my acne prone skin.
There are only THREE main extracts which are from Strawberry, Cloudberry seed and Lemon. These three fruits contain Vitamin C which is effective for skin brightening.

Packaging
The jar is hard plastic and you twist the cap to open. It has a white lid inside to prevent spillage which is nice. Product is 100g/100ml.
There is a holder for the spatula on one side of the jar.
Consistency/Texture
There is a holder for the spatula on one side of the jar.
Consistency/Texture
The texture looks delicious like a strawberry smoothie ain't it?
Texture: Thick, gelly type, not runny, spreads easily.
Color: light pink
Scent: it definitely has a sweet light strawberry scent but artificial. At first I thought it smelt plastic-y. The smell doesn't linger after application.
Finish
First Demonstration
After massaging it on the skin, it leaves a bit of a sticky finish. The stickiness does't take long to dissipates and the final finish is matte. You can definitely layer an additional moisturizer if you'd like. Above demonstration is the texture for the plain gelly itself without the boba.
Second Demonstration
It is said that the moisture capsule bubbles or the boba contains more moisturizing ingredients but I find that it is just the same as the gelly.
The bobas are mostly sited at the bottom so you have to use the long spoon to take it out. Once you do, you crush them first before massaging it onto skin. THEY ARE HELLA SPLIPPERY to crush with the spoon so it is better to crush them with just your powerful hands. I notice that it is hard to crush them into very smaller pieces so I just massaged it onto my skin, it will melt and absorb into the skin anyway without leaving any residues.
My Thoughts
Straight forwardly saying, IT IS NOT MOISTURIZING AT ALL for me and IT BREAKS ME OUT. I suspect that the coloring ingredients made me to break out and also agar and probably also the lack of natural extracts, just my suspicion. There are only three fruit extracts and probably their vitamin C content are not enough to provide even a little bit of brightening because I do not notice any brightening as well.
About the Bobas
Clearing skin? Vitality? Elasticity? None at all! Despite that I only used it a few times because it broke me out, I do not think that it gave me the 'claimed' effects. I proceed to apply the product on my normal skin type body, which fortunately works fine and a little bit moisturizing but when I applied it on my feet which is like the driest part of my body, it didn't moisturize at all and I feel like I did not apply any moisturizer.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, it is a major lackluster product, it barely do anything to me. It smells plastic-y, contains artificial colorants, doesn't contain much great ingredients, not moisturizing enough and it breaks me out. It is just gimmicky in my opinion.
I prefer using products that contains ZERO colorants from now on because I feel like products that have them break me out.
I don't think I would want to recommend this product to others. You can't just ask people to use a product that contains colorants and a weird thickener, can't you?
I got the sleeping mask in a giveaway prize but here are a few sites where you can get them in case if you'd like to collect the cute milk tea like packaging, but of course if anything happens to your skin after using this product IT WON'T BE MY RESPONSIBILITY.
